On Monday, I mentioned that it looks like my house got robbed, since my living room is wide open in its current configuration (couch pushed against the wall, second couch sold, and a tiny rug).
Joe, one of my faithful readers and friends, had some time to kill and access to Photoshop, and came up with some suggestions on what to do with the empty space. He gave me permission to share these.
While I do have a piano, it's only an upright, and is up against the wall opposite the couch. Wouldn't this baby grand be...well...grand?
I didn't know what was missing from my home, but now I know, it's the dog statue from "Friends." Hilariously, when Joey and Chandler got robbed, the thieves left the dog statue behind. I suppose, if I actually did get robbed, I would be just as lucky.
I suspect that, if this were to be present in my living room, it would have shown up unexpectedly, and not as any planned decor scheme. The colors work, though. And finally, Joe says, "Ultimately though - SOMETHING should be done, otherwise..."
He's right, McKayla would not be impressed. Remind me not to invite her over to inspect the "after."
Thanks for the laugh, Joe!
I'm looking forward to getting the living room done and photos up, hopefully in the next few weeks.
